KI breathing and...

Good Morning fine people! Wow, the weather is interesting. It really still is Winter. Today I just wanted to talk a little about KI breathing. Breathe in and feel the energy flowing through your whole body. Breathe out and feel the energy flowing out of your body. Gently let your awareness expand to how great it is to be healthy. Let the energy expand. ……..
Don’t forget to breathe during your day. And let’s have a great day!

BIG EXPANSIVE ENERGY

Hello fine people. This past Saturday we had a great Sempai training, and I feel that the Dojo is building good momentum. We also did a demo at Shopper’s Square that was televised on channel 2 news on Saturday. It’s all about putting the positive energy out there. No matter what you are doing in the world, if you do it with positive energy I feel that you are practicing Aikido. Philosophy and Movement ONE

Hello fine people. I just got back from an Aikido seminar last night. The interesting thing about the seminar was that it was about how to apply the principles of Aikido to your technique. In other words; checking to make sure that the philosophy of Aikido matches the physical expression. For example; are you really moving in harmony and in connection with your “uke” throughout the technique? Let’s use this practice for this week to build a higher level of awareness in the philosophy equaling movement.

This week at the Dojo:

***Thursday: Train at Your Level Day in all of the classes.

***Thursday: Advanced seminar at 12noon, and 7pm for the ranks of 2nd & 1st Kyus (regular class is still going on at that time)

***Saturday: Sempai training after regular morning class at 10:40am.

***8pm classes Monday through Friday have Black Belts waiting to help you on any part of your training that you need

Just a reminder of the CAA training on the 27,th and 28th. You will need to attend at least one of these trainings before going for your Shodan.(black belt)

Sometimes it takes courage to hang in there and keep going to higher levels of training. Tell yourself, I can do it! And you can do it! Vince Sensei

Trust in your Aikido

Hello fine people. This week I wanted to talk about trust. In the Dojo when we are practicing with each other we all know that it is important to be able to trust. I trust that you will redirect me without the intention of harm. I trust that you, will trust me, so that we can train at a higher level of practice, or speed without our egos involved in the process. This trust can be built up gradually so that all members get stronger in the Art of Aikido and are able to accomplish their goals. Let’s practice.

This week at the Dojo:

***Wednesday: Train at your level day in all of the classes.

***Wednesday: Parents meeting at 5pm, we will discuss this month’s curriculum and your families goals and progress.
